Hey guys sorry again for all of the questions....I set up my 24gal Aqupod last night...the only thing in the back is the blue sponge and i think there was maybe 4 or 5 Bio balls back there as well in the other chamber...the pump it came with is horrible so im trying to decide what to change it too does anyone know what would work for that?....and also what should i put in that chamber there really nothing in there other than a few bioballs?? any suggestions??

I upgraded my pump to a RIO 1100 last week and have awesome water flow now!! Im very happy with it.. did you get your filter to do the waterfall effect?? otherwise you will get a funky layer on the top of your water.. I found if I push my sponges way down and place some filter floss above them it filters my tank so much better.. Most people add a second fan to the hood as well.. I have yet to do this but would like to..

I have my heater in the same chamber as the pump and the bio balls next to the sponges, and then added some media I picked up at the LFS

No im not sure what you mean by the waterfall affect..i have that little plastic piece facing down so it has an even spread and i also bought a MJ600 for the other side of the tank so i have a really good flow but i just want to replace the one that came with the tank because it's pretty bad....

Ok so there are about 5 black plastic plates that you slide down to cover the grated fiteration area slide them all in and push them all down so the water in the actaul tank is pouring into the filter area like a waterfall would.. let me know if that doesn't help and i will go take a picture and see if that helps..

and the Rio 100 has a water flow of 384 gph.. the stock one that came with the tank does 290gph and the mj600 only does 160gph...

do you mean bigger than the rio 1100 or the stock?? which one?? I myself wouldn't go any bigger than my Rio 1100, i don't wanna stress the fish by having to swim so much from so much current, I actually don't have any fish in mine but will next week.. I can't wait
