Mine is just in my nano so its easy to just place my hand in there with the sicssors and cut em and catch.
The way ur doing it seems kool. Easy to take the rock out and sell it. or move it or whatever
My way I have to use bridal veil and a ruber band to attach it. So I just usually flush my down the drain. Its not worth driving 30 mins to the LFs to get crappy credit for it

I just cut the stock off and rubber band it to a peace of LR. VERY nice tank nycbob! What kind of xenia is that? pom pom?

to be honest with u, i v no idea what kind they r. i got them from swf.com awhile back. i think i will use ur method, and just cut it with a scissor every 2 weeks.

very nice tank and photos

my xeniaswent wild as well... i`d place LR rubble beside them so they could grow on that, but the colonywas growing too fast to keep up. they can be pulled (gently) off the rocks and or i ended up... when doing a water change i`d syphon them into the hose and with my finger slowly pull them off ...

those are the white pom poms just like the type i have. only problem with cutting them off is leaving small pieces behind on the LR that will slowly regrow new polyps and regrow ... trust me i know ...lol

+1 one on the type. Same I have as well. And yes it will slowly regrow after u cut it. U think Joes Juice would kill em after u frag em?

Tank looks great as always. After listening to you and some others on here tell of their battles with xenia it sure makes me glad I decided to not put any in my tank. Hopefully you can find a way to keep it under control.
