I have a 75 Gal. S/W tank 4’X18”X20” with A Emperor 400 filter system Two 1140 power heads a Angstrom 2537 UV Sterilization 2 24” Triton CE 20 watts lights. I also have 1” of live sand and will be adding about 30lbs. of LR.
1. I want to add a sump. Can I add a 10 or 20 gal? Under my stand and install my UV and Emperor filters to the sump? Do I need a protein skimmer? And can I add it to the sump also. I want to keep the back of the tank as clean as possible too so you can’t see anything. Btw I don’t have holes in the bottom of my 75 Gal. tank.
2. I have 7 damsels in there now but will sell them back to the LFS before adding new fish. The tank has been setup for almost 3 mos.
3. I want to add some Anemone’s later
4. Please let me know if I will need all that if i use a sump.
Oh yea I am new to the hobby so be as simple as possible with the answers.
Thanks
:)

I can't answer your sump questions because I don't have any experience with them, but as for the anemone in the future, you will need much brighter lights.

get a skimmer
get damsels out ASAP
get better lighting and 6 months before even thinking about anemone.
i would get 1 to 1.5 lb of live rock in ASAP (cure first).

No you won't need the bio filter if you go w/ LR and LS. I use bio balls in my sump but it isn't really necessary. As far as the sump goes get whatever will fit in the bottom of your stand. I've got all my gear in my sump so only two power-heads, the overflow box and the return line are visible in my display.
You will need a hang on back overflow and a return pump. Make sure the HOB overflow is rated higher than your return pump (in GPH).
I would highly suggest getting a skimmer. Waste removal is the #1 most important thing IMO for a tank and a good skimmer will help you achieve efficient waste removal. Save up and get a good one, it will set you back a few hundred dollars but well worth it IMO. All good skimmers will go into your sump so no worries there.
Also agree with the lights.
Hope that helps!

Also 100 pounds of LR on top of that 30 would be an awesome addition to the tank. It's only money right? :D :hilarious
