So I'm thinking "OK I have a sump with cheto growing. I need to prune back the cheto to export the nitrates that it absorbs. How about it I just put a Lawnmower Blenny in the sump and let him graze the algae. Save me the trouble of removing some.
Will this work?

I doubt he will eat the chaeto. They prefer encrusting, softer algaes.
It wont take you but 10 seconds to pull out the excess, so would not reccomend condeming a lawnmowe blenny to that fate, plus he is liable to jump out of the refugium top.
