A lighting ? sorry

I have read almost all of the threads about lighting, I have also read many books... here is my question. I have a 33 gal flat back hex and would like to keep a variety of corals and such. I under stand that Mh would be my best choice, so my tank is 36" long and fairly deep about 22" or so. would I need one pendant or two?
I would like pendants for when my fiance and I buy a house....and a big tank

im no expert.. the experts will correct me if im wrong but i read alot because im about to load up on MH's heh.
but each MH bulb covers 24inches. so ur gonna need 2mh to cover ur tank.

is it possible to use one pendant with high watts.....say 250 with a pc and keep the high light in the center with low light on the side?
