A "make fun of my best friend thread"

OK, I have 1 female friend who knows everything there is to know about me... WE come from opposite ends of the earth. Her family is a very low income, home school type of family, and mine is not. I have told her that if the world comes to an end I'm moving in with her and her hubby cause they know how to live off the land.
She can make bread from grains, cheese and yogurt from milk and she has her own garden while her hubby can hunt.
That being said, while she is self sufficient and frugal, she's a hillbilly!!
She sent me a care package. butters, jellies, home made soap.
She packs it in...potatoes.
The mail lady won't deliver, she says the package is leaking. My friend wonders what in the world can be leaking?
YOU CAN'T SEND POTATOES TO FLORIDA AS PACKING MATERIAL!
I love her, but she's a goofball!
Then I thought of this board. What if I sent frags out in potatoes, lol

Hahaha...funny for YOU! I had to bring the stinky thing home in my van.

Hubby says, don't even open it, just throw it out. But I can't do that... Lemme show you what I managed to salvage.

Weeelllll, that's the thing. She shipped it USPS on monday, and in her defense it got here on Wed, but I had airport duty, errands and fish stores I went to so I didn't get it til today.
We did however make a plan of action for the next shipment... no potatoes! Turns out, she grew them herself.

She said "it seemed like a good idea at the time!"

I just got off the phone with her, she jokingly said "she was hoping that as the mold grew, it would cushion the jars"...

Everytime I scroll up and look at those first pics, I literally laugh out loud..

Lol, oh dear. well, it was very sweet of her to send you such a nice care package - even if it didn't get there in pristine condition. Home-made preserved food is the BEST!!!!

what a waste of a perfectly good cardboard box ...

do ya think you could arrange for her to send CFR some bacon?
i'd even pay the shipping for that one!

Mimz, your right. What she sent is awesome. One is banana butter.

I even got the hubby to take a bite.
He couldn't get the mental image if the first pic outa his mind.
The soaps awesome! Moisturizing and it smells good!! Even though it came outa that box, lol

can she be my best friend too?? i tried to garden and have black thumb o' death everything in the box looked sooo messy haha but good...
