hey, I was just reading on this site and saw a post about dead snails.. I too have some dead snails, they were dead shortly after i acclimated them.. I don't think they survived shipping. However, the hermits were all over them within hours.. should i have taken them out? Did they cause my tank to cycle again..? PH 8.4, am 0 nitrites.05 trates 20 S/G 1.024. In the future if a snail or hermit dies should you take them out? or let them be fish food?( I have no fish yet)

I agree. If you can see it, take it out. If you cannot find it, I would not go crazy over it. However, it will help your tank out by removing any dead things as soon as you see them. The hermits have enough to worry about without them being occupied with dead things right in the open.
