A new hitch-hiker ID question:

Hi, I've got a couple new things popping up in my tank on the live rock. I only took a pic of the worm thing, there are two of them that I can see, but they are both only .25" wide. I assume they're worms because when a fish swims by the ring disappears. A striped tube appears and then fans out into a ring that looks like a round coiled spring. I'm sorry the picture isn't good, but I'm spending money on fish right now and not a new camera.

The other hitchhiker thing I can't get a decent pic of (I can't manuel focus and the glass is distorting the pic, I should probably just take the rock out, but oh well). They look kinda like the little white sponges in my tank, but they're dark pink: :jumping: the color of that jumping thing I swear. So, are they sponges too? They look fuzzy, are irregularly shaped, and there is a pointed tube thing in the center of the grouping. The grouping is made of individual blobs that are roughly 1/2" around.
I hope someone has an idea, because I had a big enough scare with the 3 scutus things in my tank.

I told you the pic was bad. But I'm pretty sure it's not a feather duster, as it doesn't have a tube, it just comes out of a hole in the rock. I was wondering if it could be the start of a christmas tree worm or something. At least it's not like the other feather dusters in my tank:

And the last pic is of little sponges in my tank, if you made them dark pink and fuzzy, you'd have what's growing on one of my rocks.
Thanks again for any help.

Huh, I (being very new) didn't know there were more than just the little white feather dusters to come on rock. At least these new ones are prettier, I like the striped effect.
Thanks to both of you!

Lots of different kinds of feather dusters, just a different species of worm. I think they are great additions to tanks, if you put phytoplankton in about every three days, they will be sure to grow and flourish in your tank if you like them.
