Ok I got to thinking... its a small tank..
I dunno if all the powerfilters are the same, but if not.. use the highest flowing one and put it on one of the small sides of the tank and set the tank up peninsula style if you can... the put the canister intake on the opposite corner of the same wall of the powerfilter intake tube and then run the canister filter spray bar or outflow tube or whatever at the opposite end of the tank blowing towards the canister intake tube...

Wow you finally did it

Congrats

So where you hiding it at?
not hiding it at all LOL jess's mom is ok with this one, but said we cant go bigger

ok, i can put the largest filter on the back of the tank, its rated for a 50g tank
and then i can hook up the fluval an hang it next to it, or put it on the side, or, what i can even do, is try and scrape together enough of the acrylic, and build a small sump, and use the powerhead he gave me as well, it works too, its a 550 powerhead, unknown brand

Can I live vicariously? hahaha..
ok zoa, paly, ric garden right???
maximize space... so you'll be looking at one of the long panes of glass...
on the opposite side paint the glass black with krylon fusion for plastic..
then put just a bit of liverock in the tank... very minimal sandbed like .5-1inches.. then you'll want to cover the floor with rubble and have a piece of rock that runs up the back part of the glass... glue zoas to the back wall... so that you have the tank full of cool softies... it would look cool. Just run both the carbon and rowaphos in one of the powerfilters...
there's alot of stuff that can be done... if you really wanted to get creative... I'm sure you could do other stuff too...

If you could do the sump it'd be awesome..
because you could go bare bottom in the display... and have zoas, palys, rics, cloves, et... on all walls and floor except for the viewing side... and then just have an overflow and a split return line coming back into the tank..
put the sand bed in the sump behind the tank... and chaeto, extra rock, and the heater.. LOL
then have like 5 sexy shrimp in the display..
I sent him a sump idea... he could use that acrylic for it lol.

ok, weve got some very thin acrylic sheets, i can build an overflow outta it, im sure of it, just gotta figure out a way to stick it to the back wall of the tank, and ive got a penguin 550 powerhead/pump, so i should be golden there, and im sure there's enough acrylic left to build like a 1.5 or even 2g sump

If you absolutely have to have fish in there... you could probably get away with 2 trimma, 2 spikefin gobies, or 2 gold nosed eviotas...
don't get ANY clown gobies at all though... too small of a tank...
