trimmas and eviota gobies are really small and cheap..

i like the eviota's, what about the red stripe? they only get an inch long as well 
or are those bad news gobies? lol
ok, so tomorrow, i manage to fashion an overflow box, and silicone it into the tank, then try an fashion a sump, first, gotta see if the sump can be built before i try an do the overflow box LOL, so, will the penguin 550 work? should i maybe put one of the powerfilters on the sump? even added filtration?

when you say red stripe you're referring to trimma gobies right? 2 trimmas or 2 gold nosed eviotas would be fine I guess.. only if you REALLY had to have fish.. they don't do any free swimming stuff though... mostly perching.

yeah, scientific name is trimma cana, its striped instead of spotted like the other trimma, i didnt notice til just now that it was a trimma LOL

The tank is nice Bos! I had a 2.5 gallon with a whisper 10 on it as my ghost shrimp tank. Those filters are terrible by the way, same thing as a top fin. The only size I have ever had a problem with is the 10 and the 20. They just don't have the power to filter properly, even on a small tank. I have never had that small of a SW tank so I can't imagine what you would put in there other than rocks, corals, and inverts. Fish would be too much of a bio load in such a small tank. I hope this works out well for you!

thanks sep, im gonna try an piece together a sump tomorrow outta whats left of the acrylic, make it, hopefully, about 2g LOL and then use the penguin 550 that he gave me for a pump

first thing thats gonna be put in the tank is 6 very tiny dwarf hermits, 2 blue legs, 2 electric blues, and 2 zebras
once i get it cycled of course

argh, so i gotta have a snail or 3, ugh, i just dont like snails, reminds me wayyyy to much of these damnable banana slugs we get up here that seem to infest everything

the only partial success I've had with hermits is scarlets.. but the bluelegs ate those a long time ago..

gotta build the sump first LOL and what ya think about turning the largest powerfilter into a HOB overflow? drilling it out, sealing a piece of pvc in there, put a 90 on it, drop it down into the sump and use the powerhead/pump i got, runnin a piece of locline with a splitter and dropping the water back into the tank on both sides of the powerfilter?
