2.5g which according to rykna is one of the perfect sizes for dwarf horses, so i dunno if they'll be ok with zoas or not, but if they are, then booyah, dwarf horses here i come
its 8" tall, 12" long and 6" wide, so it should be perfect for some dwarfs, just gotta get some of the horse people to chime in on the question thread i started in their section LOL
what ya think about my idea for the overflow usin the hob powerfilter?

do you think it will work rotary? using a powerfilter as an overflow?
umm.. I dunno about that.. how would that work considering the placement of the pump???
I mean if you butchered one yeah, you might be able to get an overflow out of it...pop the top off one and you'll see what I'm talking about...
remember if you keep sea horses.. you'll need the sump at a minimum to breed pods.. you may end up needed a 10gallon to keep up with feeding demands.. don't forget a fuge!!!

Why do you want to do a sump? Just turn a ac20 into a small fuge. You could even get another one to run some chemi-pure and rowaphos.

oh ok I see what you did there...lol... but what about the surface in the display tank??? what you have does not account for that... you'd need a surface skimmer of somesort attached to the intake of the power filter...
oh yeah you'll want to turn the sump sideways... that looks like alot of headloss on that return pump... I would not do that long of a return line personally...
dont forget about the ghetto beauty topoff..

extra live rock... pods... refugium... ability to go bare bottom in display tank and put zoas and stuff on the floor and put all the sand in the sump...

no.. you need a section where the surface overflows... keeping the surface bubbling won't really do anything to keep the film away.
ghetto rig something that'll work as a surface skimmer.
