A pistol shrimp comaptibilty question....

I want to get a pistol shrimp and a yellow watchman goby.
I know they are typically compatible...but I'm worried about what my pistol shrimp will prey on. Do I have to worry about my other cleaner shrimp and crabs ect?
Also is the pistol shrimp something that can harm me or the tank glass like a mantis shrimp could do?

Avoid Caribbean pistol shrimp. As the video shows...caribbeans won't take well to cleaner shrimp.
Btw, pistols will not break the glass. Mantis can, but not pistol shrimp.

I have a tiger pistol/pink barred goby combo with 2 fire and 1 cleaner in my 55 with no problems. The only way I know the pistol is in there is the random clicks.

The pistols I've seen are pretty friendly and don't bother anyone. I doubt you'll have any trouble from yours.

I have a pistal I purchased it with a wathman gobey NO problems only I do not see them often my tang picks on the gobey....The pistal has never bothered anyone....

Yup that was the video that got me thinking. I suppose I could just do it as an experiment. worst case scenario....i lose my cleaner shrimp n ablaze of glory...hopefully I get to watch.
I would imagine if I keep it well fed it wont harass anything.

Just stay away from caribbean pistols. Some of the other types (tigers) aren't really hunters so much and you will probably have no problems.
I have a caribbean and he is just a joy lol, he's just another mouth to feed
