Hi. He is like almost 3" long. I got him last April, he was pretty small when I took him home. I feed him freeze dried krill, live brine shrimp, Hikari Marine S and Formula 2 pellets (but he seems to prefer the Marine-S), and I try to give him a mussel once or twice every few weeks. Helps keep his buckteeth from growin' lol

Actually, my friend has a Valentini Puffer, pretty much full grown now. He's had it for well over a year, and it managed to lose one of its front teeth, and now the other one is way overgrown cuz he didnt feed it anything to file its teeth down. So tonight we are gonna "put him under" with clove oil, and try to clip his tooth down so he can eat. At this point its the only thing we can do to help him, cuz he cant eat right. I hope it goes well.

BTW, I forgot to add that my Puffah also eats frozen silversides. I give him a few pieces sometimes when feeding my Lion.

Cool pics! I love Valentini Puffiz :joy:
Looks like I wont have to play the part of Isaac Yankem DDS until Sunday. The dentistry has been postponed.
You should definitely try some mussels. It is a bit of a pain in the ass during the winter, when fishin season is over.....thats when I gotta go buy them by the "satchel". 5 bucks for a pound or 2 I think, and you can never use em all before they go bad. During the fishing season, I'm fortunate enough to live next to pretty good sized marsh/estuary, and I'm also an avid Striped Bass fisherman, so I can snag mussels off the bottom out in the marsh. There are some big mussel beds out there. I also sometimes take a net scoop up some Mummychugs out of the small pools that form, and take them home to feed my Lion lol.
I put the mussel in a bowl with some tank water, and leave it for about 10/15 minutes. Then I open the mussel up, like seen in the pic, and drop it down. My Puffah immediately takes charge of it, and will even hover over it for a long while after he's stuffed and gorged his gut
