A question about Maracyn and Maracyn-two

At my local LFS they have Maracyn and Maracyn two.....they are labeled for freshwater. I questioned this and the guy tells me that it's actually for both fresh and saltwater, they just dont label it that way anymore. Is this true? I havent checked out the other fish stores yet to see if they carry it specifically for SW so I thought I'd come here and ask the pros!

Well I'm no pro,

but I used the same medicine for my Hippo Tang to treat popeye and it worked great. It only took three days and the fish was healed. The stuff I used was in powder form and had freshwater marked on the box, but the instructions said that it was for both. Again It healed the fish even in my saltwater tank.

There is a FW and SW version. The SW version has a more medication per dose, and includes a vitamin supplement. The SW version is readily available at online stores.
