I was still betting on they were an alien ship camouflaging itself.

lol the funny part about it is, the reason i was convinced that they were fromKatrina is the pictures were taken in Iowa, ive seen clouds like that before....

I was waiting for these to be posted!
Just like the "wierd animals washed up by the tsunami" that were actually from an Australian deep see expedition. Always some sort of urban legend tied to many of these events.
But they are real storms..."Supercell" storms I think?...and they are BAAAAAADDDDD weather...Katrina or not. :scared:

Glad i dont live in that part of the states very awsome pics we dont see things like that where i live i have never seen a twister in all my life!!Here is a few pic this summer of a little storm rolling in!!This is the mts just off from my back yard...

I kinda miss storms like that...moved to CA from MO. I may fall into the giant abyss called the PACIFIC but I won't be sucked up by the Great Vortex of Doom.

Ophiura thats right supercells, that picture of the sky in oregon someone had we get those going into fall with nasty storms, its beautiful.
but yes supercells, those are some of the most beautiful thing you have ever seen in person. until they are over top of you, and even then watching them come in is absolutely astounding..

I am 100% sure those pictures arent real. Hurricane Katrina was massive, those pics show a hurricane and one looks like a tornado and they seem to be only a few miles wide. Katrina had to be a 100-200 miles wide.

we have definitely established that they werent from Katrina, but a tornado is not uncommon when a hurricane hits land....
