a spike in ammonia??

I have a 15G restocked tank that in a matter of days spiked in ammonia...YIKES...I have a brittle star and a feather duster that i feed liquid food to could this have done it.???? all other test are fine. I also have a Banggaii Cardinal that is a picky eater and will only eat frozen food may this have caused the ammonia??HELP

What do you mean by restocked? Did you just get your tank going again? Did you just add to it? Either way, you may need to cycle again.

I have move the fish from this tank to a larger tank. so the restocking was replacing the fish that moved out.
