there are so many fishkeepers out there. yet only 5% take care of them for a full lifetime. first off many people who buy fish just go to the fish store and pick a fish to their appeal. then they read the little tag that says for example "grows 15"long, from India, eats flake and pellet" then they buy some tiny 10 gallon tank. put water in it once they get home and follow the directions on the little baggie and put the fish in. next morning what do you know. the fish is floating at the top of the tank. then they get the little refund thing where you can get your $$$ back. they don't even care about the life of the fish. so many people at my school keep fish. then they say "i got a new fish." then i ask what's the nitrates, nitites and ammonia and what do you know. they answer what's nitrate? nitrite? ammonia? then i tell them to do some reaserch and they just ignore me. these people piss me off. not that i'm referring to anyone here in particular. i know none of you guys do this (or else) i have made mistakes like these EXCATLY in my lifetime when i was 8 years old. well i have learned from my mistakes. so the moral is always do reaserch before you get a fish.
