This sicko has stayed in the news for 5 years since Birmingham is sort of in the neighborhood. It all started with the killing of Natalee Holloway. I work with people that went to her highschool and some folks here actually know her family. Anyway, it appears that maybe justice will get him now BUT I thought justice was going to get him with Natalee too.

Yep. With the way they bungled the investigation I think a parent would have to be a complete idiot to allow a teenager to go to Aruba.

I was watching Good Morning America the other day, and the ambulance chaser that defended him during the Holloway case was sitting there defending this current accusation against him. True to the nature of a scuz bag lawyer, he wouldn't even admit that Van der Sloot could've possibly commited this latest crime. He even said there wasn't any proof he was actually there. He also asked why was it that she was strangled on Sunday, with no evidence of $exual assault (she was fully clothed), and that they didn't find her body until late Tuesday/early Wednesday? His response "What, they don't clean hotel rooms every day in Chile?" I was hoping Robin Roberts (who was interviewing him) would've stood up and slapped the jerk across the face and yelled "Hey numb skull, are you stuck on stupid? Wait, listen. I hear an ambulance siren. Better hurry up and go follow it."

Well Vanderslug's dad died last year and can't call in any favors to try to protect the little bass turd now. Karma takes a hand. The SOB dropped dead from a heart attack on the tennis court.

I sure hope he gets what he deserves....and in some little way...Natalee's parents get some relief......although I could never imagine what it must feel like to not know what happened to your child :(

Even if that guy didn't have anything to do with Holloways death he deserves whatever they give him for the way he dealt with the situation. I think those two Indian brothers deserve a beatdown too.

what does this kid do?? It seems his family skirts him all over the place with just a ton of money to spend on play time? He "kills" someone a few yearsago and they basically whisk him off and hide him and then send him off again. Now he is in Peru for a poker tourney? wth?

Yep, I think his goose is cooked this time, thank goodness. Interesting this is near the time of Natalies death. Makes one wonder if there could be more. 35 years is maxium for murder charge there. Doesnt seem right, but I have a feeling he won't last long in prision.
AND what the heck is up with him trying to extort money from Natalies family in exchange for info leading to her body.

not sure what......his dad passed away. He was the one covering for him for years. This kid has been wandering around "playing" and he runs into girls that are too smart for him. But instead he kills them to get his way. He was seen with her at the tourney, leaving with her, going to his room and ooops, he leaves and tells everyone not to "bother his girl". He is caught trying to cross the border with bloody clothes etc. oh and the bloody tennis racket left behind. WTH........this guy needs to go!
PLUS, in the middle of extoting money from Natalies family....true definition of a bad seed.

BTW the Prison Vanderslug will be going to is RUN BY a REBEL group that hates the rich plain and Simple. Some Atty did an Interview this weekend Sat IIRC and stated that were he is going he will not live they hate rich people plain and simple. He went in there to see his Client a Member of this Rebel group. He needed 4 gaurds just to see his clinet.

And not just Aruba. Until the "child" is an adult what parent sends them anyplace unescorted? To me until the "new adult" is on their own, paying for all expenses, and totally responsible for their actions, an 18 years old gal (or guy) has no business in a foreign country or any other vacation alone and unsupervised.
Mommy and Daddy providing that child a home, paying for everything makes the call. Not the child (of any age).
