Abit off topic question...

I'm new to this forum... so forgive me if this is an inappropriate location for to pose this question... but here'goes:
I maintain both saltwater and freshwater tanks, and have been doing so for around 20 years. I generally stick with saltwaterfish for my marine needs and have been happy. However, I haven't found a freshwater/tropical site that suits me yet. I tried (xxxsolutions) and had a miserable experience with infected fish being provided, infecting my resident fish, and very poor customer service in response to the event.
So, can anyone tell me if saltwaterfish.com also owns or is in business with a freshwater provider ? Not looking for competitors, as I'm happy with saltwaterfish.com, I want to know if they do fresh or are affiliated with another site that does fresh.
thanks,
PS - watch out for that (xxxsolutions) site.... especially the on "sale" fish,, those were the one's covered with ich in my lot.

Even a site which is non-competitive ? Such as a freshwater fish site ?
They just don't like people posting links. It is just the rules.

Looking for saltwaterfish.com's freshwater department, or affiliate sites only.
If they don't they should. Given the activity in this forum they appear to have a developed market, and if the group is like me they probably also enjoy freshwater tanks also.... I'd guess easy money if they wanted it.

I believe you can send links in a pm. If so, I now of a site, but have never order from in. They seem reliable though, and have a 14-day gaurentee.

That would be great yannifish,, THANK YOU !
Another off 'fish' topic:
I'm old school with respect to using RO water, still use ol' tap and let sit a day before adding/changing.. which tends to impart a high amount of phosphates into my system,, which by the way Corals need,, but also which provides Algae plenty of growing food,, in addition, TN water is full of calcium from all our limestone, which is another plus for corals/clams/snails/crabs/etc requiring it. To prevent algae from over running my tank I try to ballance it's growth with plenty of hermit crabs and emeral crabs (A LOT). I have around 100-150 hermit crabs (small), and 8 emeral crabs, plus 50 turbo snails, 10 nar snails, and 3 BIG ol' snails that are bigger than golf balls and have grown 2x in my tank since i got them (unsure of what kind they are)... anyway, point is, I think that using tap water (only use cold to avoid copper from the hot water heater) can be "beneficial" to both your corals and supply nutirents (phos) for algae to feed an interesting array of inverts... and my macro algae growth in this tank is wonderfully diverse and held in check (ferns, bubble, pretty much everything but the reds).
Now the 1 off question: Hermit crabs - Do they molt ? I find occasional skeletal remains.

I did, that's how I found (xxxsolutions), and then entered that terrible experience. Was wanting to aviod another randomly googled experience like that by soliciting educated feedback and experience from a site at which I've had good experiences. Was really hoping that saltwaterfish.com had a freshwater sister site... which I'm still wondering ? Does anyone here know if saltwaterfish.com play's in the freshwater world, or if they have business relations with a site that does ?

bahabully, please remove the web address that you have on here several times. They are competition with this site. They sell much more than fw fish. We cannot post links on the boards nor in PMs. We can answer questions, but not direct you on where to purchase items.

According to sepulation you can't put links in PMs.
Sorry bahabully! Try googling "Quality Aquatic Life Direct to Your Door" and see what you come up with.
