? about bangaii looks and behavior when mouthbrooding

I've had a pair of bangaii for about 7 months. they were the same size when I got them, and now one is about half an inch bigger than the other. lately, the biggest one looks like it's mouth and jaw is disproportionately larger than the rest of it's body, almost like a Jay Leno chin. it is also being very secretive, hanging behind the rocks in the back, like it's hiding something. they've had very good appettites from the start, but it won't even come out to eat. while ago, a mysis shrimp floated right in front of it, and it didn't eat the shrimp. could it be that there are some bangaii babies? I don't know their looks or behaviors when brooding. I haven't noticed either of them looking particularly pregnant, though the bigger one is fatter and longer than the other one. before anyone asks, this fish is not being harrassed by other fish. thanks.

I think either the eggs or the fry take about 12-14 days to either hatch or come out on their own. I would be too worried. Just make sure you feed the big ones, especially the male some very high quality food and lots of it when he starts eating again.

mine started doing that and then went crazy and constantly picked on my other bangaii. I had to take him out because he almost killed my other one. be wary.
