let us emphasize NO< NO NO. Please dont do this to your fish.
Wait till cycle completely finished, do a water change, then and only then add a live occupant.

OK, If you dont already have a great book for marine aquaria, I would purchase one or head for the nearest library.
You either need test kits or a good LFS that will test your water for you.
Once you have no more ammonia, no more nitrites and measurable nitrates, you have completed a cycle. Then you do a water change, then you test everything again and then you can put in a fish.
What did you use to start your cycle? live sand or rock?

Please wait until your tank has cycled!! Why would anyone want to do that to a fish? Just wait.

fresh water gravel possibly? HA!HA!

uhh yeah if thats what that is it really is not good for hosting beneficial bacteria it will just house nitrogenous wastes. Keep up the good work though

You do have your own test kit right.? I pushed my tank and put a pair of Ocellaris clowns in after 4 weeks. I checked the water every day after. I also have a little yellow watchman and that's all I will put in my 12 gal nano. Everything is fine. Good luck.

You get tests for Nitrates ,Nitrites , and Amonia. Once all tests come back as 0's on all three you are done with your cycle..... Amonia is a bigie!!! But the others are deadly also!!!! It can take from 2-9 weeks to cycle! You have to test to know if you are done!!!!
