I have a used EV-180 and I would like to use it on my currant set up. Now I have a DIY recirc skimmer that I love but it's to tall for my stand. I have downloaded the instructions for the EV. The question is when used as in sump (which it will be) does the pump just sit in the skimmer chamber or do I somehow have to feed the skimmer pump raw tank water directly? Meaning, I know the output has to drain in the skimmer chamber and then through several baffles before going to the return pump chamber but, does the pump input get hooked up to the drain from the MT? Also I intend on getting a mag 7 to run the EV-180 any other opinions.
