About how much $ for a good refugium

Hey guys! I was interested in purchasing a refugium for my 46 gallon bowfront, and was wondering what a good size refugium would be. How much money is it for everything? And one last thing. What would you recomend for me to put in it? Thanks

I built my own refugium. Bought a 30 gallon and baffled it and it’s worked just fine. Total cost was about $40. If you don’t have air-conditioning you may want a chiller but most people do not require a chiller.

The bigger the better. Most people have a compartment for a skimmer, a compartment for LS/LR/and denitrifying macroalgae, and a compartment for a return pump.
The return pump alone will cost $50+, unless you already have one to pump enough gph for your head height. You may also explore doing a gravity feed to avoid using the pump.
