i just got a six line and it is hiding behind all the rocks and wont eat any food. what should i do?
its been like a week now. it never comes out.

How does his belly look? Just because you are not seeing him eat doesn't mean he isn't. He maybe eating alot of pods in your tank. I'm sure he will become accustomed to your tank over time too. Most sixlines are pretty bold.

atypical for a sixline to hide out very long. I too think it will eat plenty natural resources if it chooses to. is anything picking on it? may just not be a specimen with issues (also atypical but it can happen). how was it at the store? my LFS keeps them in stock and they are never timid.

when i just added him, my pygmy angelfish attacked it a little.
after that its been hiding behind the rocks.
during the day i can not see any pods. but at night there are herds of 100's all over. do they eat at night or day? and i did look at its tummy to see if it was round and not thin or dented. he looked round. but I'm afraid that he is not eating because i squirted some brine shrimp toward it and some actually floated right by his face but he didn't take any.
