Species Name: Ecsenius stigmatura
General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 77 - 83°F (25 - 28°C). Require a diet high in vegetable matter. May consume cyanobacteria/slime algae, and filamentous algae. May nip coral polyps and clam mantles. Not often seen in the trade.
Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Philippines, Indonesia
i think this is it. anyone able to confirm?

yes. its this months cover fish. i did a little digging in the last 30 min and found the title of the fish...but i question it since it doesnt match the encyclopedia picture. the picture showed a much more drab...brown/grey mottled fish. not nearly the vibrant color blue one in the picture.
sorry i was unwilling to put a link since im new to this forum and already have had one link taken down cause it was a "Competator site"

i think it just means they might pic on macro algaes. they wouldnt harm an anemone. although there are some blennys known to harm corals.

Anemones are considered animals. I've never seen as issue with blennies and anemones.

Blennies have HUGE personality but can be spastic and erratic when in numbers.
Most folks dont mix blennies unless they have large tanks. It is freakish to have the peaceful and mellow reef all of a sudden explode with two blennies chasing one another like an old Cop Show....You of course have to add the screaching tire sounds yourself but its very similar.
None have every actually hurt one another in my tanks but the "chase scene" does come about from time to time.

Certainly.
They have so much personality. They do pick at algea but thats a GOOD thing. Never had any that bothered my corals.
