Goby in question is the new kid in town. We just acclimated him a week ago in a tank full of fish from one year old to a few months old. He is about 1"-1.5". He is not paired with a shrimp, but up until this point has seemed to have been doing well. However tonight my daughter points out his lip is red. His lip seemed to have been hurt and he seems extra skiddish. I understand this may be a sign of a bully picking on my goby (we have also a pajama Cardinal, two occ. clows, a bi-color blenny, one pistol shrimp, one scarlet shrimp and many various snails and crabs).
He also does not seem to be sifting or burrowing (he still eats in the evenings before lights out).
What can I do to remedy this? We have really spoiled this buggar, constructing a special netting frame for over the aquarium to protect from jumping, special time in quarantine... What can I do to make sure he is successful? And that he is protected?
