about 4 Months ago i bought an Acan frag with 3 heads on it. It was a mint green with dark green stripes around its edges. I placed it at the bottom of my tank in the crevis of rock thats smack dab in the cenver on the tank. Im noticing that the polyps that are exposed to the most light have started bleaching. The ones that are in the dark remain the same as when i first got them. I thought about trying to move them to a lower light area since the bleaching seems to be light related, but the acans have fastened themselves pretty firmly on the rock and im afrain to be forceful. There are also several new polyps that have grown, the ones receiving direct light are bleaced while the ones in the dark have color. aside from the bleached colors, the corals behavior seems healthy. it accepts food, and gets nice and big while the lights are on, its tentacles come out to feed at night etc.... Should i be concerned about the bleaching. Will there be any other adverse affects on the coral?
