Has anyone not hopped on the bandwagon yet on these corals. They are beautiful but the prices they are pulling now makes me sick to my stomach. As with everyone I like bright colors but for 400 for a 3-4in piece thats a little above my budget. Its just funny noticing the
"fads" in the hobby. Ricordia, blastos, zoos and now acanthastrea. Obviously rare corals are more desireable but to what extent? Anyone care to tell me their reasons behind buying these highly priced corals? Thanks

I think it's more bragging rights than anything. I personally don't care for Acan Lords. Yes, their color is amazing but they're not worth that much money to me.

Its hard enough trying to explain to my friends that I spent $50 on a coral let alone a couple hundred. Anyway, if anyone has any pics of any acans please post. Cause I see them online a lot but I haven't really seen any in tank pics. Thanks

hopefully with the amount of intrest and people buying them, there will be alot more people selling frags which should drive the price down. I would mind owning soom but only for a 50.00

Well seems some sites sell them for about 50-60 bux for a single head. I wouldn't mind doing that. They grow FAST.

i wounldnt buy it for $300. i did go to a lfs about 3weeks ago and saw one about 10 polyps for $130. i was temped to buy it, but i didnt. i bought a acro instead. and a crocea clam. i thought 2 is better than one. lol maybe once the price goes down i will get one. but for now i wait.
