Acclamating Cleaner Crew

Hola, Fine Fish Folk.
Ret Talbot here, and I wanted to thank "socal" for sharing the love about drip acclimating inverts--it's nice for a writer to know that his or her advice is finding an audience. In my opinion, we owe it to the animals we keep to take the time to acclimate them properly. It's pretty amazing what complex critters those humble snails are, and there is very good data to suggest that properly acclimating them not only contributes to fewer immediate deaths, but it also increases the lifespan exponentially.

I dont mean to thread jack, but it looks like the issue is settled anyway so...
why would you QT inverts?? I Thought
you didn't have to worry about parasites, and i for some reason didn't really think stress would be as much of an issue as it is with fish
socal, that IV thing is funny. I wanna do it just so i can hang it up. And it's practical

That article, the one from which socal quoted, dealt with all inverts, not just CUC members. The comment about QTing really was geared toward coral which can easily be parasite delivery devices to reef tanks if not QTed (or at the very least dipped) before being added.
