hmmm i find when i did that stress was alot higher......i usually take a turkey baster and take about half of the water out of the bag....then put tank water into shipping bag.......then wait an hour do it again...wait an hour and put it in your tank.........also you should leave the lights off for about 3 hours after the it arrives.....

I used to also do the water thing, what I found is the corals will open more quickly if you just put them in. Either way stress is gunna happen. But if you can get them to open up quicker, the better off they are. No need to stress them out for a few more hours, they been thru enough just moving from one place to another. IMHO.

did you just call yourself a ho???...(lol jk kidding cause you said IMHO instead of IMO and its like I'M a HO)...wow i have a bad sense of humor......but anyway i do the same as you with some corals....i base it on the smell and clarity of the water they are being shipped in and other variables......it all depends....when i get from the lfs ialways aclimate them the other way
but the coral can't really aclimate in a few hours anyway it would really take a few days..but they are in bags so we can't really do that :D .......so do whatever you think is best....
