Acclimation overated?

it may not kill your fish but, IMO its a must. it causes less stress on fish. its like to me putting you

in school and expecting you to function normally. its not also stress you want them to get used to there new water also.

i was afraid to say something but i to never acclimate, infact my orange linkia is a year old now and i just threw him in

ok, here's my one cent on it.
i only acclimate inverts mostly. as for fish and other stuff/corals. btw(i know corals are inverts too) i rarely do acclimate,
unless is something out of the ordinary/rare coral that i don't know it's desire requirements, then i do the drip process while researching its requirements.

Acclimated fish are apparently doing fine - although one of the Percula Clownfish is not as active as the rest..... For the Red Knobby Starfish, I followed the instruction sheet - floated bag for 30 minutes - then released.... He's ALL over my tank! Guess it's a go!
Thanks for your kind responses.... I will definitely keep it in mind on my next go round.....

Seastars take up to a month to show signs of acclimation shock. Rarely do they show it immediately I am afraid.
