I was told that I just need to float the guy for a bit(1 hr ) and then I should be able to just put him in...Based off of everything I see I should be drip aclimating him..Im confused a bit ..which should I be doing and how long? Thanks for the help

Everyone says something different. I believe most of the people here believe in the drip acclimate however I've always just floated the for awhile then added them. When we got our cucumber however we floated it for about 15 minutes then poured out half of the water in the bag and added some of our water from the tank, waited another 15 mins then added him. again, this generally not the recommended way on this sight but it works for me!

invertabrates that aren't corals should be drip acclimated. by the time you are done dripping, there should be about 4x as much water in the bucket as when you started. it should take at least a couple hours.

What crap.....
Float the Cucumber 30 min....(adjusting for temp.) and drop him in.
What a great asset to your tank. You don't see 'em everyday (we named ours Waldo...cause your always looking for them...but he's one of the friendliest guys in th
e tank.

What ever you do not follow this advice unless you want to chance killing your cucumber.
Every living thing you place in your aquarium should be drip accumulated and you should never pour the original water into your tank even though the the original water has been diluted.
If there was any harmful bacteria in the original water even a small amount added to your aquarium could harm your fish.
Why take a chance with your new purchase do it right from the start and save yourself a lot of problems and lives.

You should always drip acclimate inverts.

We always take advantage of the drip system and do a water change. You dont want to add any of the water back as the original water he was shipped in will be mixed in. So slow drip so that it takes about 3 hours to quadruple (4x) what water was originally shipped with. Then you can add him. Then add fresh saltwater you had premade to make up for the water you took out

Safe acclimation and weekly waterchange chore both done.
