Acrylic / Plexiglass?

Ok experts time to rise and shine. Is there any difference between Acrylic and Plexiglass? Are there structural or, chemical differences? Or are they absolutely the same thing? I am looking to build my own tank and was just wondering if there is any difference.

they are the same thing.
Either acrylic is a brand name for plexiglass or plexiglass is a brand name for acrylic, but they are identical.

plexiglass a brand name. They are all acrylic, and the same chemical makeup. What size tank are you thinking of building? I'm slowly working on plans for an in-the-wall 1000 reef. I'll be building it in a new house in a few years. I'm just starting the resaerch and would like to know how your experience turns out.

Thank you very much I appreciate all of your valuable input. I will be constructing a 37 gallon custom tank. I?ll use the plans given to me by garf.org and I?ll keep you updated on what to do, and what not to do. Hopefully I?ll have it done in 3 weeks. Thanks once again.
