acrylic Rods? cant find any!

Where can I get acrylic rods that I can get today, like a national store or something that would be in stock? Thanks for the help!

Look in your phonebook for an acrylic supplier / plastic materials.
Some hobby stores may carry them too.

Local bicycle shop.
Look for the long flags that go on the backs of kids bikes. Cut the shaft to length and you have as many or as few as you need.

If you are just pinning rocks together and not making a tower I have cut up and used round plastic coat hangers!

You can also cut up egg crate

Yea, as mentioned national stores won't have the 'proper' stuff, a local arcyilc store will. Or you can get creative and use something else, depending on what you're trying to accomplish. I used the clear acrylic curtain rods, the ones you twist to rotate the blinds on a window. HD or Lowes has them...

thanks guys, I called Laird Plastics here in Baltimore and they had 9/16 acetal rods, black. They should be perfect. thanks for the help! Oh yeah they were only $20 for a 10 foot piece.
