I have a 8' long Low Iron glass tank and can see clearly through to the other side
Again it depends what you pay for in quality of material!!!!!!

..im a glass man... . i just like it more... just the idea that i can be less carfull is a good enough reason for me.. the weight issue.. heck if it's 200 gal.. a extra 200lbs isnt anything compared to the water weight... unbreakable??.. well.. u make it sound like u can just puck a glass tank and it will break..

its personal pref, so everyone needs to calm down. everyone will have something different thats the whole point of this hobby, if we all had the same thing this hobby would be rather lame. So I say we all share joy in our differences and remember this is a hobby and everyone should enjoy it how ever they want to.

Come on all you acrylic people, where's your sense of adventure?!? Just think of the things you are missing-
1. New friends (you need them all to help move your 400lb. tank)
2. Excitement (how boring if there's no possibility of busting a seam or cracking the glass and spilling 200 gal. of water on the floor?)
3. More new friends (insurance agent, water damage cleaning people, carpet installers)

hey what's the point of being able to move a 125g acrylic tank on your own if you have to ask for help to move the stand that supports it?

Yeah, but when people leave, if you need to tear down the tank for some reason to clean it..yada yada...again...who really cares...glass or acrylic....either way..its choice
