This spring I will be building a tank like requiems. I dont know if you seen his on the agressive thread but it is fairly large. My dad owns a cement masonery company so theres no problem with making the aquarium walls and such. I am looking for the best deal for a sheet about 10ft to 12ft in length 4ft high and Im told it should be about 3inches thick. I hope requiem can give me info on where he got his materials becuase he said it cost him about 2 grand.
dude homed epot has them in the windows department.. i just bought a few pieces to make a over flop and sections in my sump.. they got two diff sizes.. i bought an 11x24 for like 3 bucks of the thinner kind.. the quarter is about 6-9 bucks
Sounds like an awesome tank, but think your going to have to hunt to find that thickness and it was my understanding that; it's hard to get and is going to be very pricey.....I visit my acrylics dealer every monday, and I'm going to ask him to give me a price on something like that......
I found a place where I can get the sheets precut to build a 48L x 24D x 18Tall ( 3/8" acrylic, 90 gal) tank for $288 delivered. Email me reef_dweller69@verizon.net. Don't know if I can post it here.
