Actual Finding Nemo Scene

So today is my birthday. So today for lunch we went to Rainforest Cafe. After eating really good food I stared at the tank they have at the entrance. They had air bubbles bubbling up from the sand. This yellow tang claimed them as his bubbles. He would lay slanted right on top of the bubbles getting a massage. If another fish swam by he would chase them off. MY BUBBLES!

That is sad. YT's don't do that in real life. They should not have "bubbles" in the tank at all.

That is one of my favorite parts of the movie. Sad but true, but so many aquarist (is that a word) that moved from freshwater to saltwater bring the bubbles with them

Of course this is like a 5000 gallon tank. It's the one where it arches and you walk underneath it.

Then why would the tang be laying against the bubbles? An air stone, or an ornament with an air stone in it, would irritate him and cause him to swim away. You said that he was laying across it. You also said that it was a tank at the entrance. Where is this?

I don't really like their aquarium setups there.

befor i learned that bubbles were bad for SW i had a airstone in my tank and my yellow tang would do the same thing he loved being in the bubbles.

The Rainforest Cafe is in Orlando, Florida, right down the road from Disney World.
An AMAZING restaurant with beautiful tanks throughout, although if a true aquarist had designed them, they would be slightly different (i.e., no bubbles... they do have powerheads throughout the tanks, though. Well hidden.) They're beautiful, nonetheless, and I think the people do care about the tanks and the fish.
Heck, thanks for reminding me about the Rainforest Cafe. I think I'll take Nick there for his birthday dinner next month!!

FYI, Rainforest Cafe is located in a few different citys. We visited the one in Galveston Texas. My daughter was really scared of the animatronic animals and we had to eat in the bar area!
