Added 3-stripped damsel.. bad idea?

I have a 55 gallon tank, LS, 40 lbs of live rock, with 10 turbo snail, one blue-leg and one scarlet hermit, and a royal gramma.
A co-worker was getting rid of his 26 gallon tank with 9 pounds of live rock, and a 3-stripped damsel. I took his rock and fish, and the damsel seems to be scaring the gramma. He isn't attacking him at all or anything like that, but he does seem to frighten the gramma, as the gramma has gone into hiding.
Is this a bad combo? the damsel is about 8 years old, and about 3 inches long. the gramma is about 2 inches.
What do you think?

Well.. seeing as the damsel is not even letting the gramma out to eat, I think that he is going to be evicted. I am hoping my LFS will either let me trade it in towards something, or that they will just take it... otherwise, he is going to be introduced to the wonderful world of the Buffalo sewer system!
Anyone in the Buffalo area want a 3-stripped damsel? :D

Well, I took 'bandit' with me to the LFS- they took him from me and gave me $2 credit... I bought 2 clowns-- they are getting along very well with my gramma.... thanks for the advice!

Any of the Damsel genus are simply a bad idea. But your Royal Gamma is still in trouble - clowns will begin to bully it around as well. My lesson learned - No wimpy gamma's allowed in my tank again - It got eaten and yes I have a pretty angry bunch of fish in my tank that I am slowly removing for better tank mates.
