Added Filtration

Right now on my 50 gallon I have a prizm skimmer and an emperor 400. I Have a fluval 404 and a power head (170 gph) sitting in the closet. Does anyone think I need these?

Heck no the 400 will turn the water in a 50 close to 8 times. I love Emperors and basically that is all I use on my tanks including my full reef. I use 1 400 on my 65 and double 400s on my 135 and 120. Frankly I do not use cannisters after having bad experiences with a couple of them years ago.

Ok, so what are some good medias to put in the media chambers of the Emporer. More Carbon, phosphate remover, Ammo rocks, all of the above, or just use the cartriges?
