Added Sand to my tank

I have filled my 150 and checked for leaks, there was none so I added salt I got my SG where I want it so I then put in my sand I placed the whole bag in and poured it out right on the bottom, well this was monday evening and my tank is still extremely cloudy. How long does it normaly tank to settle?

Should be settling down by now, is anything blowing on the sand?

no I don't have any pumps running, the sump even has a layer of dust on the bottom now. I thought everything would have settled by now

with no filter media or pad the ultra fine particles are easily moved about by the water flow and thus it will take quite some time to settle
you can: put a pad it to filter them out - wait it out - add some rock or other type of obstructions to allow settlement areas. best way is to filter it out IMO so that it is not easily stirred back up when you aquascape.
