added some more sand

my tank has been running for about 6 months and i wanted to add some more sand b/c i got a red coris wrasse about a month ago. so i got another bag of seachem grey coast(what was originally in their) and ran water through it and mixed it to try and get all of the "dust" out of it. I added it by putting it in a zip lock bag first and cut a hole in it once it was in the tank. anyways the tank still got cloudy and i want to know if this is at all dangerous to the fish?

need some help is it bad for the fish or anything else starfish, hermits, etc...

don't sweat it you should be fine. If the sand you added was a calcium type aragonate etc. it will milk up the water. I added 40 lbs to my tank without problem. Coral beauty, clownfish, yellow tang, misc. inverts. all faired well. it will clear overnight.
