Lionfish is a predatory fish and will eat what they can fit in their mouth. Depends on what you have in your tank now.

As mentioned he could eat all the fish in there.
Main problem I see though is the tank does not appear to be large enough. What size is that?

I had a fuzzy dwarf in my 125 reef for about a year before he decided to jump out. Took me about 2 months to get him to feed when I dropped krill or silversides in the tank. I will say he never touched my 3 cleaners, or my coral banded shrimp. He also never touched any of my fish. I even caught my cleaner shrimp cleaning the lionfish one day. Just be CAREFUL when your hands are in the tank, there sting feels like 100 bees stung you at once. Rince the sting in the hottest water you can handle and DO NOT TAKE BENEDRYL. The posion will desolve under hot water. Most hospitals dont even know what to do if you are stung. Just do your research and enjoy. They are really cute guys and all have there own personallity.
here is a pic of mine before he jumped.

Yep, I agree on both issues.

i had a lionfish in a 50 gallon for over a year, and he never bothered any of my other fish, and some were much smaller. i think, and i am no pro, that if you keep any fish like that fed, they won't bother anything else. i have an eel and everybody told me not to get it, that it would eat my other fish, but i just keep him fed

i had one in a tank and it swam through an anemone and went blind....now i have to feed him with a feeding stick and he bumps into things etc. its a bad idea...he will also eat your inverts and smaller fish. ;)

Another thing, is that lion fish really dont care for extreme light, like in a reef, it stresses them out. Even though they will survive for long periods its not ideal

Why do you mention that you got about 6.5 watts per gallon? What does this have to do about the fish. You do know that fish do not need expensive lights to live and fish only tanks can run off of normal flourescents.
I am just curious why you mention?

Because they like lower lights. As stated above high light stress's them.
