If you're brand new, you may wish to wait. I think most recommend holding off on an anemone until your tank has been up, running, and stable for at least six months. As to what kind, word seems to be that the bubble tip anemones are among the easier to care for, though they still need great water parameters, strong flow, and very strong lighting.
What kind of lighting do you have?

yeah go with what uber said but also make sure to get alot of info on how to tell if they are dead. Because pretty much anything you could think of the dead look for them may not be. Mine like inverted itself and pooed. This lead me to think it was dead so i through it away and since found out it more than likely was still alive.

Yes, most importantly, how old is your tank and what kind of lighting do you have? You want a mature tank and strong lighting for anemones.

well then an 18 watt light will not suffice for an anemone. You need about a 90 watt light fixture if you want an anemone.

It all depends on if anemones affect you or not. I can touch any anemone without really having it bother me at all. Other people break out in hives because they are allergic. You may want to use rubber gloves. They work well.
I have had good experience getting things online. It all depends on where you order from. Usually everything arrives in excellent condition as most online places take care of their fish very well.

If you have a standard dimension 30 gallon tank you need, at the vary least, a 30 inch fixture with PC bulbs 65 watss a piece. That will give you 5 watts per gallon and you should be OK.
If your tank is young and has been stated an anemone is probably a poor choice for now. The LFS might/probably will tell you differently but take into consideration that he wants to sell that anemone.
Anemones have a high mortality rate in even mature tanks with ample lighting and can make a mess of a tank when they die.
I suggest you hold off awhile on it. If the reef bug hits you, you will learn a lot as your tank matures and likely your taste/desires for how you want the tank to progress will change.
After that time if you still want an amemoie and have the required lighting I say go for it.

The bubble will not sting you if you are not allergic to them. Most people are not, but some are. If you are, just get gloves.
And yes, it will be safe for your fish.
And like Murph suggested, a good fixture would be a dual bulb 65 watt fixture which has 2 65 watt light builbs.

If you research the actual anemone on this website that you are thinking about purchasing, they usually do a good job telling you how to introduce it to your tank. If you are not an experienced hobbist, you would do best to follow the instructions and listen to people on this website who have been around for awhile. If you come on here often and read through a lot of different forums, you will quickly get a sense of who has been around, plus you can look up their join dates as well. Although the join dates are not always consistent with their knowledge...... Good luck and have fun...

it will just feel like a little burning in your hand. If you are affected, run your affected area under hot water and that usually works pretty well.
