adding baking sode for KH

Hi,
my Kh is at 7dkh. I want to raise it a bit.
How much baking soda do i add?? tea spoon? i dont want to overdose..
i have a 75G tank.

Baking soda in a tank is risky, it can swing your KH AND pH a lot with just a little bit. I would go with an alkalinity additave. Seachem makes a good buffer just for raising alk without affecting pH.

Why is it risky? It is just Sodium Bicarbonate. How is it any different than a buffer in that regard?

Yes how is it risky and how much do you put?
if not directly into the tank, maybe part of the top off water.. but how much do you add?

When I add baking soda, I usually put a teaspoon into a gallon of RO/DI, shake and let it sit for a few hours, then drip slowly. Then test for ALK.
