adding base rock to curing bin

i have a about 100+ lbs of base rock (lfs had power problem and gave me it and just ordered new live rock to sell due to lack of space ). i am building my new house and gonna do some tank upgrading so i plan on curing rock in some bins before the house is done. what are the thoughts on tossing the base rock into the bins and letting them get some bacteria buildup during the cycle?

I am using all lace rock in my 180 reef and what I am doing is put it all in the tank with some live rock to seed it and am just letting it be for a few weeks with no light. Cause if you have your lights on it will cause huge algae problems cause there is no bacteria. So just put it in bins with some live rock with no light and a power head and heater for a few weeks and you have live rock. Well more like a month but you get the idea.
