Adding Detritivore Kit

I have a Detritivore kit arriving on Friday from Inland to re-seed my DSB (bought one from IPSF in Feb. when tank was established.) When I added the first kit I had no fish in the tank, now I do. How do I keep my fish from feasting when I add the new kit??

I would feed the tank good before putting the kit in so that the fish are not hungry. You might turn the lights off as well. Good Luck!!

I'm pretty sure that I saw insructions on adding the kit at their site (and most likely they will come with your order). If my memory serves me correctly, Wolffvet pretty much hit the instructions right on the head.

I've been looking for one of those kits, if you could post the site where you got it from I would be grateful, and tell me if you were happy with their product

not sure if this would work, but take a tube and pour the kit through that. So that way, the fish won't get to it.
