adding dry rock with lichen

i picked up a small piece of dry rock from the LFS and it has some spots of yellowish lichen on it. I boiled the rock and scraped some of it off but it's going to be impossible to try to get it all.
Do you think its ok to add this rock to my tank? i wanted to ask before i put it in. thanks!

By boiling the rock, you killed essentially all living things on it. I'd say your ok.
