I just added my salt to my tank it is at 1.025 to 1.024 I am waiting for it to completely disolve to make sure. How long dose it take to disolve? Also can I add my live sand right after it is done disolving or should I wait until I get ready to cycle my tank? I will be cycling in about a week or so. I just filled my tank up to run my equipment to get it broke in before I need it later lol. Thanks for your input. But I need a quick response!

As far as it mixing in the tank, it depends on how much flow you have to stir it around. Turn on all your powerheads. But don't get used to mixing it in the tank once you get fish in there, get lots of buckets for that.
I would think you could add sand whenever you like, the sand takes a couple of days to settle also, so you might as well do it at the same time as the salt.

I agree with Darth. Just add the sand now and let it jumpstart your tank's cycle.
As for the salt, I've always heard to let it mix (when mixing for a waterchange) for at least 48 hours. I'm sure the time will vary greatly based on numerous variables (temperature, water movement, brand of mix, etc).
Good luck!

When you put the sand in make sure to turn off your filtration. The super fine sand that gets into the water column will tear up your pumps. Wait till it settles to turn them back on.
