I have an established 55 galllon and am in the middle of cycling a new tank. I'm picking up some cured LR today. Would it be okay to add it to the cycling tank or should I put it in the established tank until the cycle is over.
I would add the rock to the tank that is being cycled. I would advise not to add it to the established tank because you run the risk of starting a cycle from the die off.

+1 In fact, it should speed up the cycle process a little.
That's what I was thinking. Thanks.
Monitor your Ammonia levels. If your Ammonia approaches 1ppm do water changes as necessary to lower it; otherwise you will be killing the life on your rock.

absolutley, if you can get your ammonia to 0.5 you'll save the most microfauna on your rock.
