Adding LS question...

I'm currently filling my tank. Do I need to make sure the salinity is correct before adding my live sand? I'd like to add it now to avoid a dust up - but starting my tank off the correct way is more important.

If you are literally adding water for the first time you can mix the salt and water directly in the tank. I've heard other add a small amount of water (a few inches) and then their sand. Put a plate on top of your sand so that as your pour the rest of the water in the plate will keep the sand from getting stirred up.
